How to play hidden games on Facebook Messenger
Facebook Messenger has more than 1 billion users but only a few know of its additional features. While there are lots of GIFs, stickers, and photos, you might want to catch more fun in the case of boredom. To that end, Facebook has introduced hidden games like basketball, soccer, and chess.
Of course, the game can't replace the feeling of kicking a ball on the football field or playing other soccer games like the PES but you'll surely knock out some boredom with Facebook Messenger's soccer game.
To play, simply swipe up the basketball icon to shoot it at the hoop. However, you have to swipe at just the right angle to make your basket and once you hit enough shots, the backboard starts moving making it harder to score points.
To start, select the person you want to play with and type (and send) @fbchess in the text box. A chess board will show up and you’ll be asked to enter your move. For help, you can type @fbchess help.
Take note that you have to enter your moves as algebraic notations. That means if you want to move your knight, you’re going to have to type something like @fbchess Nbd2 and it’s not exactly easy for a novice.
So the next time you get bored chatting with your friend on Messenger, try checking out one of these games and you’ll be able to get past a boring conversation.

Soccer
To launch the game, open Facebook Messenger and initiate a chat with the friend you want to play with. On the text box, send the soccer ball emoji and tap on it to start playing.
